You can take Friday off from work (like I did today ;-) and you don't have to face issues like who will do the business development and who will deliver the project.
i have always been a salaried employee. It is only since last two months that i am trying be an independent market research consultant. The biggest disadvantage of being an independent consultant is inconsistency of the projects.....half of the time one is twiddling one's thumb....probably because i am new at it....could be the reason. But inspite of having a reputation of being a first class consultant...i am facing this problem.
